    COUNTRY
    & REGION

In spite of being named after the various lagoons, Laguna Las Ranas come from the uppermost sections of Cerro Las Ranas or "Mountain of Frogs" in Juayua, El Salvador.

In 2005, the Volcano "Volcan de Santa Ana" erupted destroying much of the surrounding area including the Jasal coffee farm. Today, Jose Salvarria and his sons produce exeptional, and sustainable coffee to the songs of a choir of tree frogs.

    ABOUT LAGUNA LAS RANAS

This lot of direct trade coffee from the San Francisco Estate is an ongoing project between Cuvee Coffee and Jose Antonio Salaverria to methodically and sustainably increase quality at the farm level. Laguna Las Ranas was created for Cuvee Coffee by using coffee grown on only the top of the mountain known as Cerro Las Ranas.

This higher elevation creates a denser coffee bean, allowing for a more consistent roast and a broader range of flavors. We are proud to work with producers who work toward the same goals. Laguna Las Ranas has been a project that we’ve been building together for the past several years.

Purchasing this coffee ensures the continued support of Jose Antonio’s dedication and hard work.
